The ski area of Serre falls into that part of the Apennines Calabrese interposed between the Sila and Aspromonte . The northern limit is the joining Maida – Stalettì and the south limit plane of Limina. It is a quite articulate mountain range of elevated natural landscape value enclosed in  a vast plateau which descends gradually with slight and steep  slopes towards the Ionian Sea to the east and the  and the watershed of the river basin Mesima  to the west.
