The civic Museum of Marmi (MuMar) comes from the idea of bringing together the surviving works of the terrible earthquake of 1783, with the aim of ensuring a comprehensive and chronological piece of work. The beauty and artistic riches of the museum MuMar, derived from the combination of the place where the refectory and kitchen developed, inside one of the cloisters of the old convent, with the stone marble. The museum is divided into different sections, each of which hosts thematic sculptural pieces, carefully restored. Exceptionally precious is the Head of Saint Catherine of Siena, in Carrara marble and almost certainly attributed to the hand of Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
