Actor, Director, Casting Director, Production Manager, Giuseppe Torcasio, alias Pino Torcasio, was born in Calcinate in the province of Bergamo in 1972, he moved at the age of 7 years in Calabria to Lamezia Terme province of Catanzaro.
From an early age develops an attitude to acting but only at the age of 33 years turns out to have excellent skills and talent for acting in front of the camera when in 2006 agree to interpret his first role as an antagonist in an independent film shot in his Calabria.
Resourceful, tenacious and fascinated by the seventh art, Pine Torcasio decided to pursue with passion the various studies by attending acting classes, studying self-taught various techniques and methods, until in 2007 she meets the actor and director Tore Iantorno Asta who forges with various methods and techniques on acting as Stanislavskj to Strasberg to Meisner, putting them into practice, a continuous training, this desire to stand up to him on his first debut on television with the series “Gente di Mare 2” directed by Giorgio Serafini , from there the luck began to assist him and is called in the following years to play various roles in more Fiction TV and feature films alongside top names in the Italian and international scene as Giuseppe Zeno, Ronaldo Ravello, Pierluigi Misasi, Peppino Mazzotta, Joe Claudio, Giulia Michelini, Luca Zingaretti, Max Tortora, Fabrizio Ferracane, Robert Woods and led by directors such as Giorgio Serafini, Stefano Sollima,
Alberto Sironi, Stefano Vicari, Ivano De Matteo, Massimo Scaglione, Marco Tullio Giordana and Roberto Faenza. These experiences from set to set, led him to become more and more capable and spontaneous. But Pino Torcasio is not only an actor, in fact, his susceptibility to the organization and the love for cinema make him to meet other talents in the field of production, thanks to the meeting with Massimo Scaglione in 2015 that aims to assist the coordinator in production as his assistant and as an assistant to the casting of the film “the tailor Wife” and as a performer, then, two years later by the same producer and director he was given the task to cure the direction of production and casting of the documentary film “Antonio Tenuta-dreams begin with a propeller.” That same year he collaborated as an actor, casting director and production manager in the Renato Pagliuso film, produced by the cultural Outside Day “Tale Calabrese” with the actor Robert Woods. In 2016 he founded in Calabria to Lamezia Terme (CZ), together with other colleagues with the same passion for the cinema, the cinematic cultural association “Movieland Productions” with whom he creates, organizes and starred in the title role, the first short film of social protest against alcoholism titled “and if one day Everything changed” directed and screenplay by
Domenico Isabella.
