Gianluca Bozzo was born in 1974 and he is a video editor, but he also makes short-films and documentaries. He graduated in Philosophy, with first-class honours, at the Università della Calabria. Thanks to his partnership with some regional newspapers, he made the “Calabresi Improbabili” instant book, published by Rubbettino in 2006. In 2008 he produced the Satyricon format, for a community tv, and he started specializing in video editing. In 2009, he opened a small atelier about audio-video works, and as freelance, he collaborated with several advertising agencies and institutions: Carical Foundation, Mancini Foundation, Unical, Chamber of Commerce in Cosenza. He realized advertising and institutional spots, books trailers, short films and theatrical surprise videos. In 2010 he took part in the Moda Movie event with “La Petite Bouffe” short, and he won the first edition of young directors contest. In 2012 he made the documentary-video “Cercando Mercuzio”: it deals with a reportage about the director Armando Punzo’s theatrical workshop, on behalf of Zahir cultural association. From 2012 to 2014 he worked as consultant for the Communication team, belonging to the Calabria Region Balance and Organization Department . He taught theory and technique about audiovisual editing. In 2013 and 2014 made a preparatory short-film devoted to Big Jazz, “Walnut Street Station” (last jazz stop from NY), shooted in New Jersey and New York. In 2015 made the short The Starting Point – Patrizia Scascitelli jazz pianist, devoted to the early Italian female jazz player; it was shooted in Rome, Palermo and New York

In 2012 he made the documentary-video “Cercando Mercuzio” (19 min.): it deals with a reportage about the director Armando Punzo’s theatrical workshop (Mercuzio non deve morire) on behalf of Zahir Cultural Association. (Sceneggiatura – Regia e Montaggio)
