The town lies on a hill about 700 meters above sea level with panoramic views of the wide river valley Coscile. The settlement, aggregated into three districts around the castle and the most important churches, develops downstream within a system of town walls. The peculiarity of the village lies in the combination of art and natural beauty: the stone arches, wide steps, the homes in humble architecture, the aristocratic buildings which match the majesty of the mountains. The Church of St. Bernardine of Siena in late Gothic style presents a pointed portal made of yellow stone, is a jewel of fifteenth century monastic architecture. Through narrow streets and open spaces with landscape views, you will reach the Norman Castle.
